ISS SpaceWalk 2019
Don’t Miss out the live action! Here is a rare opportunity to watch the astronauts walking outside of the International Space Station (ISS)! Yes! Astronauts are getting ready for the second spacewalk of the year.
ISS is the world-class laboratory orbiting the earth 250 miles above. The space lab does scientific research on various fields like human research, space medicine, life sciences, physical sciences, astronomy and meteorology.
Astronauts Nick Hague and Christina Koch will exit the Quest Airlock of International Space Station (ISS) on March-29-2019 at 8.20 AM (Eastern Time – EDT. That is Indian Standard Time 05.50 PM), for the second spacewalk of 2019.
Upgrade and Maintenance
The duo will replace the old nickel-hyderogen batteries with new lithium-ion batteries on the station’s port-4 truss structure. This is the second spacewalk of the year by the crew, as part of the upgrades and maintenance outside of the International Space Station (ISS). Hague and Anne McClain did the same last week (Spacewalk Mar-22-2019) on the other side of the truss structure.
NASA’s Live Coverage
NASA TV will begin its live coverage of the spacewalk at 6.30 AM (Eastern Time – EDT) on Mar-29-2019. That is, Indian Standard Time 4.00 PM. The scheduled spacewalk will alst for 6 and 1/2 hours.
