IISC, Bangalore – UG Admissions 2020 – 4-Year BS (Research) Programme for 12th Qualified Students

It invites application for admissions to 4-year Bachelor of Science (BS Research) degree course (IISc – UG Admissions 2020).
This 111-year old Indian government institute is not familiar to many of the students in India. All students, particularly, the students from rural areas should be aware of this leading institute, and take part in advanced scientific research.
This 4 year BS (Research) course is inter-disciplinary in nature. Though it focuses on specialization in a Science subject, it has a flavor of Engineering and an exposure to Social Science disciplines. Six major disciplines are offered in BS (Research): (1) Physics (2) Chemistry (3) Biology (4) Mathematics (5) Materials (6) Earth & Environmental Science.
Fee for doing this course is very low. Also, eligible students will get scholarship through out their study at IISc.
Students that fulfill the requirements of getting BS (Research) degree at the end of 4th year, will have the option to get the Masters degree by studying at the Institute for the fifth year.
Eligibility
12th standard (or 10+2 or PUC II Year) along with national level competitive exams (that is, KVPY or IIT-JEE or NEET). The students should have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in their Higher Secondary or PUC (10+2 level). More details on eligibilty is available at the admissions page of IISc website.

- Students should apply online on or before 30-April-2020. The website closes at 23.59 hours of 30-April-2020.
